MEET FIVE OF OUR WARRIORS
JACKSON
I wouldn’t be living if I wasn’t fighting.
Jackson knows what it means to discover the warrior within. Diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age 7, he faced more than two years of treatment, missed time at school and had to step away from the sports he loved. Now in remission, 11-year-old Jackson is back to soccer, gaming, bike riding and spreading hope to other kids still in the fight.
ISABELLA
The fight was fierce, I was fiercer.
Isabella is a second-degree blue belt, and she's been fighting far longer than she's been on the mat. Diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at 5, she spent two years in treatment before reaching remission. Now 10 and cancer-free, she says, "I believe we can one day kick cancer out for good."
MAX
Hey cancer, you picked the wrong fight.
Max’s fight began at age 5, when worsening fatigue led to a diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. When treatment caused him to lose his hair, his dad and two brothers shaved their heads too, reminding Max he never had to fight alone. Today, the 10-year-old from California continues periodic treatments, but he’s back to the beach, swimming and dreaming of becoming a CIA or FBI agent one day.
ARIANNA
Giving up was never part of my journey.
Hospital staff called Arianna their "Warrior Princess," because she showed up to treatment in princess dresses instead of hospital gowns. Diagnosed with sarcoma of the liver at 6, she faced every round with courage beyond her years. Now 16, she's thriving as a high school dance student, inspiring other young warriors with her cancer journey.
WESLEY
Cancer is tough, but so am I.
Wesley pictures himself as a Viking dragon hunter, and he's already slayed something bigger. What looked like a broken femur at age 3 turned out to be acute lymphoblastic leukemia. More than two years of chemo, lumbar punctures, and physical therapy later, the 7-year-old is in remission and back to running, baseball, and swimming.

The battle against childhood cancer is being fought in hospitals and labs across the country. Hyundai Hope on Wheels helps fund that work through research grants to Children's Oncology Group member institutions. In 2025, we awarded over $27 million across four grant categories.
Hyundai Scholar Hope Grant
A two-year, $400,000 grant supporting researchers conducting translational research and working directly with patients.
Hyundai Young Investigator Grant
A two-year, $300,000 grant supporting principal investigators researching the biology of childhood cancer.
Bridge2K Grant
A one-year, $150,000 grant providing seed funding to support the resubmission of promising pediatric cancer grant applications.
Hyundai Impact Grant
A $100,000 grant supporting innovative childhood cancer research, pediatric oncology programs and direct patient assistance.

Dealers who champion the fight
Hyundai Hope on Wheels got its start in 1998 when a small group of New England-area Hyundai dealers joined together to support a local children's hospital. Today, over 825 Hyundai dealers nationwide donate a portion of every new car sold, with additional generous support from Hyundai Motor America.
